Here we go, first thing you need to do is buy those Breakfast Steaks. I usually buy them at the grocery, thinly sliced beef. 1/2 kilo would do.
Marinade the beef for 30 minutes in:
3tbs soy sauce
2tbs sesame oil
1tbs finely ground pepper
So while you’re letting the marinade seep in, bring water to a boil while you’re chopping your broccoli. Once the water boils, put in the chopped broccoli and make sure it’s in there for just a minute. Drain the water and immediately put the broccoli in the freezer. This will stop the cooking process and preserve your broccoli’s taste and texture.
When you’re done with this, fry the marinated beef in a heated pan with very little oil. Make sure the beef is cooked evenly and brown. Then add 2tbs of butter. Once the butter is melted, add three cloves of finely chopped garlic. Mix very well and let it simmer for about two minutes.
Then add 5 cups of water. When it starts to boil, add 2 cups of Oyster Sauce. Mix very well. Let it boil until the meat is tender and the sauce thickens, depending on your preference. Add sugar to taste, I usually put 2tbs of brown sugar.
Once the thickness of the sauce is to your liking, get the broccoli from the freezer and mix it well, cook for another 2mins.
