So here’s the opinion of a ramen novice: I took my boyfriend, who is just getting in to the ramen game (too late), to Ippudo. He loved the Akamaru Special, he thought it was very tasty, and better than Ikkoryu.

He raved about the pork bun, saying “legit siopao ‘to, hindi karton.” 

But there was one thing better at Ikkoryu, and that’s the Karaage. 

I mean, the chicken was perfectly cooked ang juicy. But the dipping sauce was too sour. Next time, request plain Japanese mayo for their Karaage.
